We’re seeking a Sourcing Specialist with a strong background in sourcing Heavy Machinery Equipment (HME) and mechanical parts to join our team.
This role is pivotal in driving value, strengthening supplier partnerships, and ensuring our operations run seamlessly.
The Opportunity
As Sourcing Specialist, you’ll be responsible for sourcing of HME parts and other critical mechanical components from our preferred and alternate suppliers. You’ll source, negotiate, and secure the right parts at the right price, while never compromising on quality. Working closely with operational teams, OEMs, and aftermarket vendors, you’ll keep our supply chain moving, help optimise inventory levels, and directly support production schedules.
Key Responsibilities
- Execute sourcing activities in line with our Strategic Procurement Framework and company governance standards.
- Partner with operational stakeholders to understand part specifications and advise on fit-for-purpose or approved alternatives.
- Drive supplier negotiations, working with category managers to secure competitive pricing and delivery schedules.
- Manage purchase orders, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and on-time delivery.
- Collaborate with category managers, purchasing, inventory, logistics, and warehouse teams to balance stock levels and reduce supply risks.
- Build and maintain strong supplier relationships across aftermarket vendors, and service providers.
- Monitor supplier performance against KPIs and escalate issues with recommended solutions.
- Evaluate new suppliers and recommend opportunities for cost reduction, innovation, and continuous improvement.
- Ensure all procurement activities deliver value for money and maintain the highest quality standards.
What You’ll Bring
- Solid experience in procurement, ideally with exposure to HME, mechanical, or industrial parts.
- Strong commercial acumen with proven negotiation and supplier management skills.
- Ability to interpret technical requirements and align them with sourcing options.
- A proactive approach to problem-solving, cost optimisation, and process improvement.
- Excellent communication skills to collaborate with internal stakeholders and external partners.
- Strong understanding of procurement frameworks, compliance, and governance.
