The Store Person is responsible for the safe and efficient unloading, receipting, and storage of inbound goods in a warehouse distribution centre.
This role involves operating forklifts and other material handling equipment, checking and recording incoming stock, and ensuring accurate placement of bulk products into storage.
The position plays a critical role in maintaining inventory integrity and supporting the smooth flow of warehouse operations. On any given day your responsibilities will include;
- Receive, unload, and inspect incoming goods for quantity, quality, and accuracy.
- Operate forklifts (including counterbalance and high-reach if applicable) to move and store goods.
- Complete paperwork and/or use warehouse systems to record receipted stock accurately.
- Put away bulk products into racking or designated storage areas according to procedures.
- Pick weekly/monthly raw materials for Production Team.
- Ensure all stock is stored in a safe and accessible manner, following FIFO or other storage protocols.
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation of inwards and storage areas.
- Report any discrepancies, damages, or quality issues to supervisors promptly.
- Assist with stock counts, inventory control tasks, and cycle counts as required.
- Follow all site safety procedures
- Work collaboratively with warehouse team members to meet operational deadlines.
Who we are looking for
- Previous warehouse experience with a focus on inbound or inwards, or similar.
- Great communication skills and an ability to contribute to a team
- High accuracy and attention to detail, and
- Must have a current valid forklift license (LF required)
