Working within our Bendigo Bakery, the Supervisor position works alongside the Bakery Manager in leading the team from the floor, ensuring exceptional customer experiences, maintaining product quality, and driving sales growth.
You will work with a team of supervisors to support and manage staff across the Front of House operations. You will be committed to maintaining the standards of the business and work to continuously improve standard operating procedures daily. You will have a solid background in hospitality, ideally in a supervisory role, and a sparkling personality to engage with clients and staff.
Responsible for directly supervising and guiding the team to deliver friendly and helpful customer service, focusing on quality, speed, and efficiency. This is an exciting opportunity to develop your retail and line management skills within a dynamic and well-supported business.
Key Role Responsibilities:
- Lead and support the team to ensure smooth day-to-day operations.
- Maintain high standards of product quality, cleanliness, and store presentation.
- Ensure an exceptional customer experience is delivered consistently.
- Manage staff rosters to ensure adequate coverage and efficiency.
- Oversee ordering and stock control to meet business needs.
- Train and support new team members to uphold bakery standards.
- Ensure compliance with OHS and food safety standards at all times.
- Work closely with the Bakery Manager to meet business goals and drive performance.
A bit about you!
To be the right fit for this role, you will need to be a great communicator and team player, be organised and have a detail-oriented outlook. Your time management skills and ability to think on your feet, as well as problem solve, are a must. You will be able to demonstrate experience working busy shifts with an ability to remain calm and coordinate the team for a successful shift.
We are looking for someone with a keen eye for detail and a willingness to think outside the box, to support our bakeries as they continue to grow and strive towards our vision of being Australia's Greatest Bakery. Above all, your passion for delivering customer service and providing a memorable experience in our bakeries is a must!
We are looking for someone who:
- Has previous experience in a retail, hospitality or bakery/cafe position, ideally with demonstrated leadership skills
- Strong customer service orientation and the ability to lead and motivate a team
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- A positive, can-do attitude and the ability to work well under pressure
The position works across all 7 days of the week, including public holidays, on a roster basis and includes at least one weekend day per week.
