About the role

We are looking for a safety focused Supervisor Electrical with a passion for people, to lead our Fixed Plant Maintenance Electrical team at Greater Nammuldi. The successful candidates will be responsible for the safe delivery and execution scheduled maintenance and breakdown tasks.

You’ll be part of a supportive team, supported by your Leader to grow and achieve your own personal goals as well as the goals of the team. You’ll work a Fly in, Fly out roster pattern which will give you more time to spend on the things that are important to you and the people in your life.

Reporting to the Superintendent Fixed Plant you will:

  • Be an inspiring role model and coach for positive behaviours, practices, and processes

  • Providing safety and technical leadership, mentoring and guidance to your team of trade and non-trade personnel, understanding their strengths in work to ensure that safety is first and that the correct work is completed

  • Lead, coach and develop a team of Fixed Plant Operations personnel

  • Organise and manage the execution of Fixed Plant Operations work

  • Manage Fixed Plant Operations activities to maximise productivity while

  • minimising cost and environmental impact

What you’ll bring

  • A commitment to the safety of yourself and your team

  • Confidence in leading, coaching and developing team members

  • Relevant trade qualification (Electrical)

  • Proven experience operating in a field leadership role, preferably with in depth knowledge of fixed plant equipment

  • An understanding of the work management process and principle

  • Ability to execute work in alignment with Rio Tinto values (Care, Courage and Curiosity) and behaviour

  • Strong stakeholder management and communication skills

  • Ability to achieve outcomes through influence and collaboration with other

  • A current and valid ‘C Class’ manual driver's licence

  • Statutory Supervisor Qualification (AQF4)
