About The Role
Thiess invites applicants to apply for the position Electrical and Infrastructure - Maintenance Supervisor. This role will report through the Electrical and Infrastructure Superintendent and support Thiess’s operations Mt Arthur South at Muswellbrook.
Working on a midweek dayshift roster, the responsibility of the role will be to assist with the maintenance and installation of infrastructure and systems which support the safe, reliable, and efficient operation of site-wide electrical networks, fixed plant, and essential services. Some of your duties will include:
Coordinate preventative and corrective maintenance on electrical and infrastructure assets, ensuring compliance with safety and operational standards.
Supervise and mentor electrical trades, contractors, and apprentices to ensure work is performed to required standards.
Assist in the planning, installation, and commissioning of new electrical systems, communications infrastructure, and associated plant.
Monitor and manage breakdown response, ensuring minimal downtime and effective fault resolution.
Maintain accurate maintenance records, compliance documentation, and progress reports within agreed timeframes.

About You
You must have
Cert III in Electrotechnology
Certificate of Proficiency - Electrotechnology
Driver’s license
Previous experience in supervision in an Open Cut environment
S1, S2, S3 & G2 Supervisor Training Package
Good knowledge of the following will be highly desirable:
(LV) electrical systems – operation, maintenance, and safety requirements.
Fixed plant and infrastructure services – including power distribution, lighting systems, plumbing systems, and communications networks.
Mining or heavy industry regulations and compliance – familiarity with WHS legislation, electrical safety standards, and site-specific procedures.
Planned and preventative maintenance strategies – including asset management systems and condition monitoring techniques.
Contractor and project management – overseeing installation, commissioning, and maintenance works within budget and timeframes.
