We are currently seeking an enthusiastic and experienced Support Worker to join our friendly and supportive team. This is a rewarding opportunity to work one-on-one with clients in their homes and out in the community, supporting them to achieve their goals and maintain their independence.
About the Role:
As a Support Worker, you will be responsible for providing a range of practical and emotional support to individuals living with disabilities, chronic illness, or age-related challenges. Your duties will vary depending on the needs of the clients but may include:
- Assisting with personal care tasks such as showering, grooming, dressing, and toileting
- Providing domestic support including cleaning, laundry, and meal preparation
- Supporting clients to attend medical appointments, therapy sessions, and community activities
- Encouraging skill-building and participation in hobbies, education, or employment
- Maintaining accurate and up-to-date client records and reporting
- Promoting choice, dignity, and respect in all aspects of care
- Using a company-provided vehicle to transport clients safely to and from locations
Essential Requirements:
To be considered for this role, you must have:
- A valid and current Australian driver’s licence – company car is provided for client-related travel
- Previous experience working in a support or care role – or hold a relevant qualification such as:
- Certificate III or IV in Individual Support, Aged Care, Disability, or Community Services
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- A genuine passion for helping people and improving lives
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively with the team
- Flexibility to work various shifts, including mornings, evenings, and weekends (as required)
Additional Mandatory Requirements (or willingness to obtain):
- First Aid and CPR Certificate
- NDIS Worker Screening Check (or current National Police Check + WWCC if applicable)
- COVID-19 Vaccination (in line with government requirements)
- Manual handling and infection control training (preferred but not essential)
