As a Direct Support Worker – Trainee, you will gain hands-on experience while completing a nationally recognised qualification, contributing meaningfully to the lives of people in our community.
About the Role
This traineeship provides structured on-the-job training and formal study toward a Certificate III in Individual Support. You will support participants of the Tablelands Community Support program, assisting with daily living activities, personal care, domestic tasks, and community engagement. Your work will promote independence, dignity, and wellbeing in accordance with the Aged Care Quality Standards and NDIS Practice Standards.
This part-time position welcomes the perfect work/life balance with 50 working hours per fortnight for a term of 2 years.

The Candidate
We are seeking a compassionate and enthusiastic individual with a genuine interest in supporting older people and those with a disability. You will demonstrate empathy, reliability, and a commitment to learning. Strong communication and teamwork skills are essential, along with the ability to work independently. You must be willing to undertake formal training and maintain compliance with safety and care standards. A current driver’s licence, First Aid Certificate, and NDIS Worker Screening Clearance are required.

Salary: Hourly rate ranges from $13.52 - $27.62, dependent on highest year of schooling and number of years out of school, plus allowances and superannuation
