The opportunity
Our Roadside & Drainage team are not only looking for just any all-round Team Leader, but a leader who has a love for the job and who is driven to grow and kick new goals individually and as a team. You'll have a keen eye for detail and an appreciation for high quality work.
You’ll be responsible for leading and inspiring our Roadside & Drainage team in delivering safe and sustainable works for civil construction and maintenance projects as well as contract works associated with roads, drainage, footpaths, cycleways, carparks, street and roadside furniture and any other assets as directed to meet the program requirements for an array of internal customers whilst maintaining job satisfaction.
- This is a permanent opportunity – working full-time 38 hours / week + access to a flexible working arrangement such as a 4-day week
- Base Salary Range: $69,600 to $81,716 pa based on 38 hours / week + 12% superannuation + $908 adverse work conditions allowance + $2,464 retention allowance
- You will be working from PSC Nelson Bay Depot

- Effectively lead, direct, monitor, and mentor the team
- Undertake maintenance and minor construction of roadside and drainage related civil infrastructure in accordance to Service Agreements / Project Schedules
- Complete asset inspections, schedule and implement maintenance tasks of piped and open drainage, GPT’s and infiltration systems, guide posts, culverts and chemical spraying on local and RMS roads.

- A Certificate III in Civil Construction and/or relevant experience
- Demonstrated communication and interpersonal skills
- Possess or have the ability to obtain accreditations such as ChemCert, Traffic Controller, Implement Traffic Control plans, Safe Work Near Power Lines, First Aid Certificate
