THE OPPORTUNITY
The successful incumbent of the Technical Procurement Officer role will be the key point of contact for our partner Coles, suppliers and City team members and will be instrumental in processing equipment order requests in line with delivery requirements and expectations.
Your key responsibilities will include:
- Develop and manage strategic relationships with key suppliers to ensure that equipment is ordered and delivered within designated timeframes.
- Request and manage comparative quotations and availability on equipment from suppliers and negotiate terms to the companies’ targets.
- Read plans to develop inventory lists for customers.
- Comprehensive Database management and status tracking of all projects.
- Manage all placed order including potential equipment delays.
- Manage all capital / case equipment orders from start to finish while ensuring that delivery dates are achieved.
- Ensure a smooth communication flow to all parties and manage project deadline expectations.
- Prepare invoices to our partner form completed capital projects in line with the project management timeframe.
- Tertiary qualification in Business / Purchasing / Logistics / Supply Chain / Project Management (or similar) – highly preferred.
- Strong stakeholder management skills and ability to liaise with all levels within the organisation.
- Strong attention to detail in a complex and demanding environment.
- Must have strong communication skills - verbal & written.
- Must have strong analytical skills with a high level of initiative.
- Ability to work autonomously and in a team environment.
- Full Australian working rights.
- Fulltime permanent role.
- Hybrid working model (WFH 2 days a week)
