Flinders View Primary School and Preschool is located in Port Augusta, a small city about 322 kilometres north of the state capital, Adelaide. Formerly a seaport, it is now a road traffic and railway junction city with much to be discovered about the history as a traditional meeting place for Aboriginal people. Our unique location means you can explore the inviting Spencer Gulf waters from kayaking to catching a kingfish, and you will enjoy the tranquillity and beauty of the stunning scenery. You can also discover the magic of the Outback or nearby Flinders Ranges before returning to all the comforts our regional City offers.
This Year 5/6 teacher will be an integral part of the Primary Years (Yr3-6) team, supporting children with diverse needs, with a particular focus on Aboriginal and EALD learners. A significant emphasis is placed on literacy & numeracy and embedding social and emotional learning throughout teaching. The successful applicant will have access to a literacy and numeracy coaches, and a classroom School Support Officer will assist during literacy and numeracy lessons. Possibility of extension for 2026.
