About the role

The Gyprock Trade Warehouse Operator, Counter Sales role is a Full-time position, based at Tweed heads, NSW. Reporting to the Store Manager you will join our Gyprock Trade Centre delivering exceptional customer service and attaining operational excellence within the store and warehouse.

In this role you will:

  • Provide exceptional customer service for all our customers in store and in the warehouse.
  • Stock movements and the maintenance of stock.
  • Loading trucks with customer orders for distribution and comply with safety requirements.
  • Unloading inbound orders of stock.
  • Serving customers in the warehouse part of the store, e.g. loading customers vehicles with a forklift, or manually as required.
  • Ensuring documentation, labelling and presentation of product is adhered to.
  • Warehouse operations including picking orders, inventory counts and general housekeeping.
  • Contributes to achievement of store revenue and margin budgets.

Your hours are Monday to Friday 6am to 3pm.

What you bring to the role

  • Forklift licence and experience are desirable, or willing to obtain the licence if successful.
  • Possess a strong work ethic.
  • To be able to approach, connect and confidently interact with customers.
  • An eagerness to learn about products and services.
  • Must have excellent customer service & communication skills.
  • Must be confident and well-presented when dealing with customers.
  • Experience working in a fast paced and busy environment.
  • Collaborate with team members and supervisors to meet daily targets and deadlines.
