With your expertise and zeal, you’ll guide students through their nursing journey, equipping them with the skills needed to excel in the ever-evolving healthcare landscape.
We’re on the lookout for a dynamic professional who holds current AHPRA registration as a Registered Nurse and brings a wealth of experience in health and wellness, medical conditions, surgical and mental health, or medicines and healthcare.
A background in vocational education and training (VET) and a keen understanding of AQF +1 level standards are key.
Responsibilities:
- Deliver Inspiring Training: Lead interactive lessons in health and wellness, medical conditions, surgical procedures, mental health, and medicines and healthcare, ensuring exceptional learning outcomes
- Assess and Support: Conduct comprehensive assessments and provide constructive feedback to help students excel in both simulated and real-world clinical settings
- Ensure Quality and Compliance: Maintain rigorous standards to meet ANMAC and ASQA requirements, while keeping precise records and participating in quality assurance processes
- Engage with Industry: Stay updated on industry trends and collaborate with healthcare facilities to provide relevant and practical training
- Enhance Student Experience: Develop strategies to create a supportive and inclusive learning environment, and guide students through their academic and clinical journeys
- Pursue Professional Growth: Engage in ongoing professional development to stay at the cutting edge of nursing education and practice
About You:
- Qualifications: Relevant nursing qualification with current NMBA registration, and a Certificate IV in Training and Assessment (TAE40122) or equivalent.
- Experience: Extensive background in nursing education and practical experience in health and wellness, medical conditions, surgical and mental health, and medicines and healthcare management and has AHPRA registration, First Aid qualification and extensive nursing experience
- Skills: Strong communication and organisational skills, with the ability to engage and inspire students and manage assessments effectively.
- Academic Qualification and Expertise Requirements: Academic must hold a qualification at least one level higher than the course they are teaching or possess equivalent professional experience. They must demonstrate up-to-date knowledge in their field, informed by ongoing scholarship, research, and industry practice, as well as contemporary teaching and assessment skills to meet curriculum and student needs
