What You'll Be Working On
You'll handle diverse responsibilities that keep our logistics operation running smoothly:
- Plan and coordinate daily delivery schedules and optimal routes across Sydney and NSW
- Monitor fleet performance in real-time and resolve delays to maintain customer satisfaction
- Build relationships with drivers, warehouse teams, and transport providers
- Manage challenges like weather delays or vehicle breakdowns with effective contingency plans
- Analyse and report on transportation metrics to guide strategic decisions
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations and chain of responsibility requirements
- Drive improvements in route optimisation, scheduling efficiency, and cost reduction
What Type of Person Will Succeed
We're looking for an experienced logistics professional with the right mix of skills and personal qualities:
- 3+ years transport coordination experience with strong Sydney/NSW geography knowledge
- Valid driver's license and hands-on experience with TMS, WMS, or ERP systems
- Logistics qualifications preferred - Certificate/Diploma in Logistics, Supply Chain, or Transport Operations
- Safety knowledge - OHS accreditation and understanding of compliance requirements
- Strong problem-solver who stays calm under pressure and communicates well with diverse teams
- Detail-oriented team player motivated by delivering excellent customer service
