Northern Beaches Hospital provides world-class, Level 5 delineation services for both public and private patients. The hospital features 486 beds, 50-bed Emergency Department, 20-bed general and cardiothoracic ICU, 14 fully equipped theatres, including hybrid theatres, two cardiac catheter labs and four procedure rooms and a state of the art education and interactive SIM centre.

About the Department
The Northern Beaches Hospital ENT Department (Otolaryngology, Head and Neck Surgery) provides an exceptional level of care for patients with all conditions affecting the ears, nose and throat. The following adult and paediatric ENT services are now available:
- Ear/Otology - Grommets, myringoplasty (Ear drum repair), cholesteatoma, endoscopic keyhole ear surgery, cochlear implants, exostectomy (Surfers Ear'), laser stapedectomy.
- Nose/Rhinology - Septoplasty, sinus surgery, obstructive sleep apnoea.
- Throat - Laryngology, vocal cord surgery (laser), adenoidectomy, tonsillectomy, parotid and thyroid surgery.
- Patients undergoing ENT procedures benefit from state-of-the-art surgical and investigative equipment, including:
Your Role
The ENT Surgery – Unaccredited Trainee will review the needs of both inpatients and outpatients to provide appropriate care and services to secure optimum health outcomes. You will provide Clinical assessments, management advice, and attend to patients in the Emergency Department. Any necessary operative procedures will be performed under the direction and supervision of senior staff. This position offers an opportunity for further ENT training and operative experiences for a candidate considering an ENT career in a contemporary setting supported by the latest equipment at a brand new state of the art Level 5 facility.

Your Capabilities
To be successful in this role you will meet the following Selection Criteria:
- Hold a medical degree (MBBS or equivalent) and be registrable with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA)
- Demonstrated clinical practice as a registered medical practitioner for a minimum of two years with progress towards career goals in Surgery/ENT Surgery
- Demonstrated clinical competency and an ability to work independently within a supervised complex clinical environment utilising excellent clinical skills, judgment and expertise
- Demonstrated commitment to quality improvement, patient safety and risk management and evidence of sound working knowledge of legal and ethical obligations governing medical practice
- Demonstrated excellent written and verbal communication skills, time management and problem solving skills in the clinical setting as part of a multidisciplinary team

If you are successful in the role, you will receive a salary relevant to your clinical experience ranging from $111,606 - $140,051 per annum.
