The role
Crown Perth's Theatre has an exciting opportunity for an experienced and motivated Theatre Venue Manager to join the team. The Theatre Venue Manager is responsible for general operations and day to day activities front of house, to ensure the successful delivery of shows, events, productions and external activations for clients, performers, crew, staff and patrons.
The role is required to oversee the Front of House Operations as well as liaise with key stakeholders internal and external to Crown. This position also provides essential support to the broader front of house team.
This position is being offered on a Part Time Basis (48 hours) per fortnight.
Key Responsibilities:
- Coordinate and manage all aspects of theatre operations, including event scheduling, staffing, and logistics
- Liaise with production teams, performers, and clients to ensure their needs are met and shows run smoothly
- Oversee the maintenance and upkeep of the venue facilities, ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations
- Manage the Theatre staff, including hiring and training,
- Liaise with external stakeholders for all merchandise requirements for shows
- Ensure exceptional customer service and a positive experience for all guests
- Manage the continuous improvement of team performance, practice, and processes
About you:
- A minimum of 3 years' experience in venue management, event coordination, or a related field
- Strong organizational and project management skills with exceptional attention to detail
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities to effectively collaborate with diverse stakeholders
- Proficient problem-solving and decision-making skills to handle complex situations
- Flexibility to work outside of normal business hours
- Experience leading a large team
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant field, such as Arts Management, Hospitality or Event Planning (preferred)
