The Company
Kingdom Seekers Church is a growing Wesleyan Methodist congregation based in Nerang on the Gold Coast. Planted in 2023, the church has already secured significant grant funding, established a vibrant café-church community, and launched ministry initiatives both locally and internationally. Our mission is to seek God’s Kingdom first, with a particular passion for reaching people through workplace chaplaincy, Bible prophecy, and practical Christian service. We are building a supportive, mission-focused culture, where every role contributes to expanding God’s Kingdom. Looking ahead, we aim to deepen our reach into the Nerang Industrial Estate and surrounding business community, establishing a long-term chaplaincy presence that transforms lives and workplaces.
Overview of the Role
As a Volunteer Workplace Chaplain, you will extend the ministry of Kingdom Seekers Church into the business community of Nerang and beyond. This is a frontline role that blends evangelism, pastoral care, and relationship building. The chaplain will be entrusted with a church vehicle, have all expenses covered, and enjoy flexibility in hours, from part-time (8 hours per week) to full-time (up to 40 hours). You will report weekly on outreach activities, be mentored in ministry practices, and receive opportunities for training and recognised qualifications. This role is ideal for someone who desires to combine faith, outreach, and real-world engagement to see lasting impact in lives and businesses.
About the Role
- Visit businesses across the Nerang Industrial Estate and surrounding areas to provide support and pastoral care.
- Build meaningful relationships with employees, management, and business owners.
- Provide spiritual guidance through counselling, prayer, and sharing of faith.
- Organise workplace ministry activities such as Bible studies and prayer gatherings.
- Submit weekly reports outlining visits, engagement time, and church interest.

The ideal candidate is a compassionate, confident, and relational Christian with a genuine passion for outreach. They are able to connect with people across different walks of life, demonstrate empathy, and share their faith clearly and respectfully. A heart for evangelism, pastoral care, and church growth will drive success in this role, alongside motivation to see workplaces transformed by the gospel.
About the Ideal Candidate
Essential:
- A committed Christian with strong alignment to Kingdom Seekers Church values.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to commit to a minimum of 8 hours per week.
Desirable:
- Experience in pastoral care, chaplaincy, or evangelism.
- Background in workplace, HR, or community engagement.
- Willingness to pursue chaplaincy training or formal qualifications.
