About the Role

We’re looking for an organised and adaptable Administration Officer to join our high-performing Aged Care Assessment Service team.

Based at Wallsend, you’ll be at the heart of a large, busy service that supports older people across the Hunter. Your role will be varied, fast-paced and essential to keeping operations running smoothly - from answering calls and booking appointments to providing vital administrative support for our clinical and non-clinical assessors.


In this role, you’ll:

  • Provide professional and efficient administrative support to the Aged Care Assessment Service
  • Handle a high volume of phone and email enquiries from multiple stakeholders
  • Accurately enter data and maintain electronic records using programs such as My Aged Care
  • Manage appointment bookings and coordinate schedules
  • Assist with filing, document management and other office systems
  • Work closely with assessors to support their day-to-day needs in the delivery of services


About You

You’re a confident communicator and efficient multi-tasker with an interest in working with the aged population. You thrive in busy environments, pick up systems quickly, and can juggle competing priorities without losing your attention to detail.


You must have:

  • Advanced computer and data entry skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong organisational skills and the ability to prioritise in a high-demand setting
  • A collaborative, team-focused approach with the ability to work independently when required
  • Initiative and problem-solving skills to keep workflows moving smoothly
