About the role
Join our team as an Outpatient Administration Officer, where you’ll play a key role in ensuring patients receive seamless care and support. In this role, you will:
- Manage patient appointments, including cancellations and re-bookings, to keep clinics running smoothly.
- Welcome patients, answer calls, and maintain accurate records in our electronic medical systems.
- Arrange transport and interpreter services for patients with travel or language needs.
- Handle medical records, type clinical correspondence, and distribute reports and results promptly.
- Support daily operations by ordering supplies, coordinating with clinical trial centres, and assisting the team as needed.
About you
We are seeking a motivated and professional candidate who brings:
- Proven healthcare administration experience, with strong skills in patient support, medical records, and Medicare HPOS processes.
- Excellent organisational and time management abilities, with the capacity to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to build rapport and work effectively with patients, families, and multidisciplinary teams.
- High computer proficiency, including Microsoft Word, Excel, and medical record systems.
- A commitment to integrity, teamwork, and our organisational values, with the ability to work independently and demonstrate exceptional public relations skills.
