The Opportunity
Join our dedicated and supportive team in Southport as a Part-Time Administration Officer, where your contribution will help deliver exceptional patient care every day.

  • Managing the organisation, retrieval, and distribution of medical records for hospital admissions and appointments
  • Sorting and filing records efficiently in designated storage areas
  • Maintaining accurate records registers and conducting regular audits
  • Preparing new treatment plans and physical charts for clinics
  • Welcoming patients and visitors with professionalism and warmth at reception
  • Supporting patient admission and discharge processes
  • Performing health fund checks and discussing any associated costs with patients
  • Ensuring patient details are regularly reviewed and updated
  • Coordinating patient arrivals and managing waiting room functions across both the medical practice and day hospital
What You’ll Bring
We’re looking for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment and is committed to delivering outstanding service. Ideally, you’ll have:
  • Previous experience in a similar healthcare administration role
  • Familiarity with Medicare, DVA, and private health processes
  • Strong organisational and time management skills
  • Clear and confident communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel
  • A customer-focused mindset and ability to work independently with attention to detail
