About the role
The roster requirements for this position are that the successful candidate needs to be available Thursday and Friday, 7:30am to 3:30pm.
The administration officer within the HITH team is required to register patients into the relevant IT systems to support patient onboarding onto the HITH platform. The administration officer will be responsible for entering accurate information within required time frames and will assist in the facilitation of service delivery both in the hospital and community setting.
Some of the key responsibilities of the role are:
Ensure patients and other staff are treated fairly and with mutual respect and understanding, regardless of cultural, religious, ethnic and linguistic backgrounds.
Register patient data onto relevant electronic databases and ensure patient data is updated in a timely and accurate manner. Actively support the use of telecommunication technologies for the purpose of providing health care services across geographic, social and cultural barriers.
Utilise information systems to record and update all patient demographic information, Medicare details (e.g. HBCIS, MediRecords). Book in, book out, cancel and or rebook outpatients and clinics on outpatient system.
Organise and coordinate patient appointment activities including the arrival of patients, booking appointments.
About you

Positive and effective costumer services
Proficiency in the application of internal hospital information systems in addition to Microsoft Word and Excel
Knowledge or the ability to rapidly acquire knowledge of basic medical terminology to extract and interpret pertinent information from patient medical records and hospital information systems.
Mandatory Requirements:
Vaccinated against, and remain vaccinated against, certain vaccine preventable diseases (VPD) as outlined in the Health Employment Directive NO. 01/16
