About the Role
We are looking for a passionate Assistant Venue Manager to join our leadership team and help deliver the world-class guest experience we’re known for. You’ll work closely with the Venue Managers and senior team to oversee day-to-day front of house service and bar operations, bringing your love of hospitality, people, and precision to every shift.
Salary: $80,000-$85,000 + Superannuation
What you’ll do:
- Lead all beverage operations including stock control, inventory management, and cocktail program development in collaboration with the Head Sommelier
- Ensure every guest receives an exceptional experience by maintaining high standards for sequence of service, bar presentation, and drink quality
- Give clear direction to your team, set expectations, provide the tools they need to succeed, and recognise and reward great work
- Manage rosters to meet operational needs while staying within budget and driving financial goals for the beverage program
- Foster a culture of professionalism, collaboration, and positivity while living the Swillhouse values of devoted hospitality, individuality, and good times
- Train, mentor, and develop team members to continually improve their knowledge and skills in food, wine, and service
- Uphold workplace safety and compliance by following all WHS and operational procedures
About You
You’re an experienced hospitality leader with a strong track record in premium venues and a deep understanding of fine dining. You bring integrity, professionalism, and excellent communication skills, along with a genuine passion for delivering outstanding guest experiences. You thrive in a team environment, inspire positive culture, and have comprehensive knowledge of food and beverage
Skills/Experience Required
- 1-2 years experience as supervisor or above in premium restaurants and bars, with a deep understanding of fine dining systems
- A demonstrated track record of leadership and team management
- Comprehensive knowledge, with a particular focus on all facets of food and beverage products, their sourcing, production, delivery and service
