PRIMARY OBJECTIVE
The Chief of Staff plays a critical role in supporting our CEO and executive team in achieving Power and Water's strategic goals. The role
works closely with the CEO to ensure efficient and effective operation of the CEO and Board Support office, manages critical projects,
serves as a strategic adviser to the CEO, ensures productive and positive engagement with key external stakeholders including members
of parliament and regulators, and supports effective communication with Power and Water executives and the broader Power and Water
workforce.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES - The “WHAT” to be delivered
Strategic adviser: Act as the CEO's right-hand person and provide strategic guidance on key decisions and initiatives.
- Executive support: Proactively manage the CEO's schedule, handle all communication and correspondence, and ensure the CEO is
- Project management: Lead and manage cross-functional projects and initiatives on behalf of the CEO, ensuring that objectives are
- Communications: Draft and edit internal and external communications, including speeches, presentations, and reports on behalf of the
- Stakeholder engagement: Act as a liaison between the CEO and internal and external stakeholders, fostering positive relationships
and representing the CEO when necessary. Also develop and coordinate a schedule of opportunities to build and enhance the visibility
and personal brand of, and external relationships for, the Board, CEO and the broader executive team across key stakeholders of
Power and Water.
- Strategic planning: Assist in the development and execution of Power and Water’s strategic plans, working closely with the CEO and
- Research and analysis: Researching background and context on material matters arising, including confidential and sensitive issues and
- Team management: Oversee and mentor the administrative professionals and executive assistant within the CEO and Board Support
- Collaboration: Engage with and support the Deputy CEO to ensure that the CEO and Board Support team contributes positively to
- Confidentiality: Handle sensitive and confidential information with the utmost discretion and professionalism.
