We have a great opportunity for a Coaching and Mentoring Partner to join our Learning and Development team. Reporting to the Leadership Capability Lead, this role is responsible for the design, development, coordination, and evaluation of all enterprise coaching, mentoring, and leadership assessment solutions. This role will establish and maintain a comprehensive coaching and mentoring framework, actively promote the value of these solutions across the organisation and provide specialist advice on how they integrate with learning, talent, and DEI initiatives.
This role will be based out of our Osborne, Edinburgh Parks or Flinders St offices in SA.
We embrace flexible work arrangements at BAE Systems Australia such as a 9-day fortnight and hybrid working.
Key responsibilities include:
- Contribute to the creation of the coaching and mentoring strategy, ensuring that it aligns to the Capability & Learning strategy, and key Talent, DEI and other People Organisation priorities
- Working with the Leadership Capability Lead and in collaboration with the People Business Partner, develop and implement coaching and mentoring frameworks and programs to support leadership development, talent management and career development across the enterprise
- Integrate coaching, mentoring and leadership assessments across both relevant leadership development programs and in cyclical talent management activities
- Establish and report on key metrics to evaluate the effectiveness of coaching, mentoring and assessment activity across the organisation
- Contribute to the annual budgeting process to secure ongoing funding and resources for coaching, mentoring and assessment initiatives. Forecast demand, resource needs, and program costs
- Regularly review and enhance the coaching program based on feedback, best practice, and market advances, to ensure the BAE Systems Australia offer remains impactful, scalable and cost-efficient
- Equip internal coaches and mentors with the skills and tools needed to perform their roles well, and ensure a consistent standard of participant experience
- Design or procure programs to develop internal coaches, including training, resources, and continuing professional development opportunities
- Create and lead internal communities of practice for both internal coaches and mentors
About YOU
- Tertiary qualifications in Human Resources, Organisational Psychology, Organisational Development, or Learning discipline is essential
- Certifications in a range of psychometric, 360-degree or team diagnostics
- Knowledge of legislation, policies and guidelines relating to workplace coaching and mentoring including privacy, freedom of information and equity and inclusion
- High level of customer focus
- Ability to design and implement pragmatic processes, tools, and services related to coaching, mentoring and assessment
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence stakeholders at all levels and build strong relationships with mentors, coaches, senior leaders, vendors, and members of the People Organisation
- High level of proficiency in written and verbal communication
- Excellent ability to manage and analyse data to generate insights and business decision making
- Ability to manage multiple coaching and mentoring programs simultaneously, ensuring timely delivery, resource management, and ongoing improvement. to deliver against customer and business requirements
- Eligibility for a Negative Vetting Level 1 Defence security clearance
