About the Role
Nambucca Valley Council is on the lookout for a dynamic Communications and Engagement Officer to drive engaging campaigns, manage media relations, deliver innovative content, and support two-way communication between Council and our community. You'll work across all areas of Council, giving you variety, visibility, and the chance to make a real difference.
What You'll Be Doing
- Creating and delivering communication strategies that connect and engage
- Managing Council's media presence, digital platforms and social media
- Developing creative content including graphics, video and photography
- Coordinating community engagement initiatives and stakeholder relationships
- Supporting internal communications and brand consistency
What You'll Bring
- A degree in communications, media or a related field or equivalent experience
- Outstanding written and verbal communication skills
- Digital confidence across websites, social media, and creative platforms
- Strong stakeholder engagement and customer service skills
- Experience in graphic design, video editing and photography
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and media design software
- A current Class C driver's licence
