Primary objective
Provide strategic marketing advice, problem solving, services and evaluation to effectively promote and strengthen the work of the
Strategic Communications and Engagement – Marketing and Digital team.
Key duties and responsibilities
1. Effectively manage tasks using the Whole of Government Recruitment Project - Customer Relationship Management Tool.
2. Provide sound strategic marketing advice, and services to support the work undertaken by the team to facilitate the Whole of
Government Recruitment Project including repositioning the Territory brand and change perceptions regarding the Territory as a place
to live and work.
3. Provide quality input to the development, implementation and management of Department marketing policies, procedures and system.
4. Provision of advice and execution of communication strategies, plans and materials to promote marketing initiatives and priorities.
5. Work collaboratively with agencies to progress the work for the Whole of Government Recruitment Project.
6. Ensure the maintenance of effective metrics, monitoring and reporting systems in all areas of responsibility.
7. Represent the team / agency in a range of internal and external meetings and events.
Selection criteria
Essential
1. Thorough knowledge of current trends, technologies, principles and practices in marketing and strategic communications campaigns
2. Good understanding of customer relationship management marketing principles and ability to provide sound advice to senior
management.
3. Experience in contemporary project management frameworks, methodologies, tools, and processes relevant to the delivery of complex
brand and marketing strategies including evaluation.
4. Excellent interpersonal skills, including the ability to work constructively in a project team and work collaboratively with a diverse
range of stakeholders with mediation and negotiation techniques
5. Demonstrated experience in strategies and tactics relevant to effective stakeholder engagement and management in politically
sensitive environments.
6. Proven ability to juggle competing priorities and work effectively in a high-pressure environment including the delivery of government
events.
7. Modern content management principles and the ability to provide advice on this to senior management.
Desirable
1. A tertiary qualification in the field of communications or marketing (or a related area)
2. Skills and or Training in Microsoft Dynamics 365 – Customer Insights
3. Project Management experience
