About the role
The Digital Communications & Systems Coordinator manages and maintains Curtin’s digital systems and applications to support staff engagement, productivity, and experience. The role combines technical administration and first-line support with planning and delivering communication activities. Acting as a key point of contact, the coordinator ensures smooth system operations, timely helpdesk support, and engaging, accurate communications across Curtin’s People & Culture digital channels.
An important aspect of this role will be to ensure that staff communications are consistent, clear, and aligned with Curtin’s values. As such, strong collaboration and excellent communication skills will be key to success.

Key Responsibilities:
- Take ownership of Curtin’s Staff Portal, ensuring content is accurate, timely, and engaging.
- Draft and deliver communications that reflect Curtin’s values and brand voice, reaching diverse audiences across the University.
- Use digital tools and analytics to track effectiveness and drive improvements.
- Partner with Marketing, Corporate Communications, and project teams to deliver consistent, impactful messaging.
- Provide technical administration and first-line support for People & Culture applications and associated systems.
- Support staff engagement initiatives by harnessing Curtin’s digital platforms.
We’re seeking a motivated, solutions-focused communicator who brings a mix of technical capability and creative flair.
To succeed in this role, you’ll have:
- A degree qualification in a relevant field OR equivalent professional experience.
- Demonstrated experience in administering and maintaining systems and applications.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to adapt messaging for different audiences.
- Experience with tools such as WordPress, Adobe Creative Suite, and Google Analytics.
- Excellent problem-solving, organisational, and customer service skills.
Role Requirements:
- Current Permanent Australian working rights. Please note that visa sponsorship and/or relocation will not be supported for this role.
- Willing to undertake a National Police Clearance, and background, integrity, and reference checks to Curtin’s satisfaction.
