Were seeking a dynamic Disaster Recovery Coordinator to play a critical role in ensuring the organizations resilience by supporting the development, implementation, and maintenance of disaster recovery and business continuity plans. This role helps safeguard critical systems and data, minimizing downtime and operational impact during disruptions.

RESPONSIBILITIES & ACCOUNTABILITIES

  • Assist in developing and maintaining disaster recovery plan aligned with organizational needs and industry standards
  • Conduct regular testing and updates of recovery plans to ensure effectiveness and compliance
  • Collaborate with IT and business units to identify and prioritise critical systems and data assets
  • Collaborate with the IT team to ensure that backup and recovery procedures are in place and effective.
  • Ensure all key stakeholders and system owners receive comprehensive training on disaster recovery and business continuity procedures to support organisational resilience and readiness.
  • Coordinate with external vendors and service providers to ensure that disaster recovery plans are aligned with service level agreements.
  • Participate in risk assessments and business impact analyses to identify potential threats and vulnerabilities.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of industry best practices in disaster recovery and business continuity.
  • Prepare reports and presentations on the status of disaster recovery and business continuity plans.

Requirements and Experience

  • 2+yrs of experience in disaster recovery planning and implementation.
  • Experience with backup and recovery procedures, business continuity planning and risk management.
  • Industry certifications such as Certified Business Continuity Professional (CBCP) or Disaster Recovery Institute International (DRII) certification.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with all levels of stakeholders across the organisation.
  • Strong attention to detail, time management and technical confidence.
  • A background in Incident Management/Problem Management can also be suitable.
