About the Role
We are seeking a motivated and people-focused Employment Engagement Officer to join our team. This role is all about connecting participants with meaningful pathways into employment and community engagement. You will be responsible for building relationships with local and large businesses, identifying opportunities, educating employers and supporting our employment practitioners with assisting persons with disability to step into employment.
Key Responsibilities
- Engage with local employers and large organisations to create sustainable and customised employment opportunities for NDIS participants.
- Work collaboratively with the employment division.
- Provide ongoing mentoring and support to ensure participants thrive in their chosen roles.
- Contribute to a positive, supportive, and participant-focused team culture.
About You
We’re looking for someone who is:
- Passionate about making a difference in the lives of people with disability.
- Confident in building relationships with employers and community networks.
- Skilled in mentoring, coaching, or employment support.
- Organised with strong communication and problem-solving abilities.
- Knowledgeable (or keen to learn) about the NDIS and disability employment supports.
Qualifications & Experience
- Previous experience in employment services, disability, community, or youth work is highly regarded.
- A current WA Driver’s Licence and reliable vehicle.
- NDIS Worker Screening Check (or willingness to obtain).
- Cert IV in Disability, Community Services, Employment Services, or related field (desirable).
