Position Overview
The Floor Waiter/Waitress plays a key role in delivering CU29’s high standard of table service, ensuring each guest enjoys a seamless, professional, and memorable dining experience. This role requires excellent product knowledge, attention to detail, and a genuine passion for hospitality in a premium setting.
Key Responsibilities
Service Delivery
- Greet guests warmly and present menus with confidence and professionalism.
- Take accurate food and beverage orders, ensuring any dietary needs or preferences are noted and communicated to the kitchen.
- Serve meals and beverages promptly, with attention to presentation and service etiquette.
- Monitor guest satisfaction throughout their visit and respond to requests promptly.
Guest Experience
- Anticipate guest needs and provide proactive, attentive service.
- Offer menu recommendations, including food and wine pairings, when appropriate.
- Handle guest enquiries and concerns with professionalism, escalating issues to the Duty Manager if required.
Operational Support
- Set and clear tables efficiently, ensuring all service areas remain clean, organized, and fully stocked.
- Assist with the preparation and reset of the dining area before, during, and after service.
- Support team members during peak service periods to ensure smooth operations.
Compliance & Safety
- Follow all food safety, hygiene, and workplace health & safety standards.
- Adhere to Responsible Service of Alcohol (RSA) regulations.
- Report any hazards, incidents, or maintenance issues to management promptly.

Qualifications & Experience
- A minimum of 2 years experience in table service within a restaurant, café, or bar, preferably in a premium or fine dining environment and in a high volume/marked–up venue.
- Current Responsible Service of Alcohol (RSA) certification (required).
- Knowledge of food and beverage service standards, including wine service (advantageous).
- Availability to work evenings, weekends, and public holidays.
