As a Human Resources Officer, you'll be part of a small, dynamic team within Capability and Engagement, supporting programs that build capability, improve culture and strengthen employee engagement. Your role will combine coordination, project support and system administration, ensuring the smooth delivery of HR initiatives that help our people perform at their best. On any given day, you may be supporting the roll-out of new learning programs, troubleshooting issues with the Learning Management System, or preparing governance and reporting data for senior leaders. You'll partner with subject matter experts across the organisation to keep capability initiatives running, whether that's maintaining MyPDA for development planning or ensuring LinkedIn Learning resources are accessible to staff.
Your eye for detail will be put to good use managing data accuracy, reviewing reports, and ensuring all materials and resources are of the highest quality. At the same time, your strong communication skills will help you build effective working relationships with colleagues, stakeholders and external providers. Whether you're coordinating logistics for a project, resolving an issue that could impact the employee experience, or streamlining administrative processes, your contribution will keep the team's work on track.
This is a fast-paced environment, so you'll need to be comfortable managing multiple priorities at once and shifting focus as projects evolve. You'll also stay across departmental policies and public service directives that shape HR practice, ensuring all work reflects current requirements.
To apply, please provide:
- A current resume detailing your relevant experience
- A cover letter addressing:
o Coordinating and supporting projects, programs and initiatives in a busy HR environment
o Building strong stakeholder relationships and delivering customer-focused HR services
o Reviewing data, documents and reports with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail
