Job Description

As a Job Placement Consultant, you’ll help people facing health challenges find new employment opportunities and support them in returning to meaningful & sustainable work to live the best life they can!
This role will be required to service a caseload across our East & South East Melbourne region.
Your duties will include:
- Work collaboratively with injured workers, potential employers, and your internal team of allied health professionals to provide safe, sustainable opportunities for workers to re-enter the workforce;
- Contribute to injured workers ability to achieve return to work goals through job skills development, confidence building and promoting independence;
- Apply and deliver customer service in employment services and job placement;
- Empower clients to effectively present their skills and abilities when seeking employment;
- Broker new employment opportunities in the Melbourne Metropolitan area and surrounds, which in turn provide a swift re-engagement into employment for workers who have been detached from the workplace due to a workplace injury (physical and/or psychological);
- Build strong relationships with local employers and organisations;
- Complete written progress and various other reports on a regular basis.
Qualifications
- Experience in Occupational and/ or Vocational Rehabilitation is highly desirable
- Previous experience in Employment Services / Disability Employment as a high performer
- Strong resume writing skills with an understanding of local labour market;
- A passion for assisting people to gain employment and enhance their careers;
- The ability to grow our services and build strong relationships with key customers;
- Current driver licence and motor vehicle.
