Beata Homecare provides home care services to support the independence of clients from various cultural backgrounds in Melbourne and the Bass Coast Region.
We are looking for an individual to join the team as a Khmer-speaking Client Liaison Officer to play a key role in promoting our services and expanding our client base. In this role, you will develop and nurture relationships with clients, families, and community partners to ensure more individuals have access to the care they need.
You will be based at our office in Mount Waverley, Victoria and will be expected to travel around metropolitan Melbourne and the Bass Coast region.
This is a full-time position. Flexibility for a hybrid work-from-home arrangement after probation (1 to 2 days a week).
Key responsibilities:
- Meet with prospective clients and families to provide detailed information about Home Care Packages, NDIS, and Beata Homecare’s services.
- Assist prospective clients in navigating the Aged Care referral system, advocating for them throughout the referral and assessment process.
- Liaise with support coordinators, families, and other stakeholders to determine the required services for NDIS participants.
- Facilitate sign-up paperwork for new clients starting services with Beata Homecare.
- Conduct client assessments and home safety assessments to ensure a safe and supportive environment.
- Regularly engage with external stakeholders to develop referral opportunities.
- Drive community engagement by promoting the aged care and disability sector through presentations, social media content, and events.
- Travel to prospective clients’ homes and attend community engagement activities across Metropolitan Melbourne and the Bass Coast region.
Skills & Experience Required:
- Ability to speak Khmer.
- Proven experience in sales, relationship management, or client engagement.
- Strong interpersonal and presentation skills, with the ability to build rapport with diverse individuals.
- Excellent verbal communication, with the ability to explain complex processes clearly and from different perspectives.
- Highly organized, with the ability to manage multiple prospective clients while ensuring timely follow-ups, paperwork completion, and assessments.
- Digital literacy, including experience managing social media content for promotional activities.
- Understanding of the Home Care Package, NDIS, and referral processes (desirable).
- Empathetic nature and a genuine passion for helping people.
Requirements:
- Victorian Drivers Licence and reliable vehicle with insurance
- Police Check (within 3 months) or NDIS Workers Screening Check
- First Aid Certificate (within 3 years)
- CPR Certificate (within 1 year)
- Minimum 2 doses of the COVID-19 vaccination
