Your role


We are seeking a strategic and results-driven Portfolio Management Office (PMO) Lead to guide project teams in the successful delivery of complex programs and projects. This role provides both strategic and operational support including operational reporting, budget management, risk and issue tracking, quality control, governance and post project benefits tracking and reporting


What you’ll do


We are seeking a proactive and strategic PMO Lead to help shape and drive the successful delivery of high impact programs and projects across the organisation.

You will also ….

  • Lead the development and implementation of consistent project management practices to support effective delivery and reduce risk.
  • Ensure robust financial planning, budgeting, and reporting processes are in place to support transparency and accountability.
  • Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to establish tailored governance frameworks and manage risks and issues.
  • Promote project and program management capability across the organisation through guidance, support, and inclusive leadership.

Essentail Requirements

Appointments are subject to reference checks. Some roles may also require the following checks/ clearances:

  • National Criminal History Record Check in accordance with the Disability Inclusion Act 2014
  • Working with Children Check clearance in accordance with the Child Protection (Working with Children) Act 2012

What we’re looking for


In this role, you’ll lead with purpose, applying your expertise in operational reporting, financial oversight, and stakeholder engagement to ensure program/projects are delivered efficiently, effectively, and with lasting impact.

  • Proven Project Leadership – Demonstrated experience leading complex, multi-stream projects in a government or justice sector environment.
  • Strategic Planning & Delivery – Strong capability in aligning project planning with strategic reform objectives and managing delivery against scope, time, and budget.
  • Stakeholder Engagement – Ability to build trusted relationships with diverse stakeholders, including judicial officers, legal professionals, and operational teams.
  • Governance & Risk Management – Skilled in applying structured governance frameworks and proactively managing risks, issues, and dependencies.
  • Digital Transformation Insight – Understanding of digital service delivery in justice settings, with a focus on user-centred design and technology-enabled reform.
