The Opportunity
Join the City of Perth Library as a Library Officer, delivering high-quality front-of-house service across all library areas. You'll assist patrons with memberships, enquiries, e-resources, printing/scanning, and accessing computers, collections, and programs. This role supports a diverse community with varying needs and digital abilities.
Reporting to the Team Leader, your responsibilities would primarily include:
- Assisting patrons from diverse backgrounds with enquiries;
- Processing and renewing memberships and providing support to new library members;
- Providing digital literacy support for patrons accessing public computers and online resources; and
- Shelving, shelf tidying of stock and selection of reserved items on all floors of the library.
About You
To succeed in this role, you will possess:
- Great communication skills;
- Experience in providing customer service in person, over the phone and via email;
- A high level of computer literacy skills; and
- The ability to work automomously and as part of a team
