Maintenance Manager – Dirty Laundry (Brendale, QLD)

About the Position
We are seeking an experienced and hands-on Maintenance Manager to oversee the upkeep, repair, and improvement of our commercial laundry facility. The successful candidate will manage all aspects of plant and equipment maintenance, lead a small maintenance team, and ensure compliance with workplace health & safety regulations.
This is a full-time, permanent position requiring 38 hours per week.
Salary is $80,000 – $90,000 per annum plus superannuation.
Key Responsibilities
· Plan, coordinate, and execute preventative and corrective maintenance on all laundry machinery and plant systems.
· Diagnose faults and carry out repairs on mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems.
· Maintain maintenance schedules, service logs, and compliance documentation.
· Coordinate and supervise contractors and suppliers for specialised repairs or installations.
· Ensure compliance with WHS standards, company policies, and environmental regulations.
· Train and guide maintenance staff on correct equipment operation and care.
· Recommend and implement equipment upgrades and efficiency improvements.
· Liaise with production teams to minimise downtime and optimise output.
Skills & Experience
· Relevant trade qualification or equivalent work experience in mechanical, electrical, or industrial maintenance.
· Proven experience in maintaining industrial machinery in a manufacturing, laundry, or production environment.
· Experience with PLCs and basic fault-finding (B&R, Siemens, Allen Bradley preferred).
· Ability to interpret technical drawings, schematics, and manuals.
· Strong problem-solving, troubleshooting, and organisational skills.
· Leadership experience with the ability to train and motivate staff.
· Knowledge of WHS requirements and safe work practices.
