As our business continues to grow and drive innovation throughout our market-leading technical solutions, we are seeking a committed Manager, Operations Business Support, to provide leadership across our Road Safety Technology operations.

This is a permanent, full-time role, based in Melbourne, Australia, with a hybrid working model from home and our South Melbourne office.

The Role

As Manager, Operations Business Support, you will take ownership of business support across APAC Operations, leading and empowering a small team that underpins contract delivery, client service, and compliance. You will oversee administration, reporting, purchasing, financial control, and subcontractor management, ensuring accuracy and efficiency across the region. Working closely with senior leadership, you will shape processes, improve systems, and foster a supportive culture of excellence and accountability. By enabling project teams, field-based technicians, and senior leaders, your team will provide the structure and guidance needed to deliver life-saving road safety technology to our government clients, where the highest levels of service and accountability are essential.

As Manager, Ops Business Support at Verra Mobility you will:

  • Lead and manage the business support function, ensuring administration, reporting, and account processes are delivered with accuracy, quality, and timeliness.
  • Act as the first point of contact for client queries, providing clear communication and effective resolution.
  • Oversee training records and maintain essential safety and compliance documentation, including work method statements, traffic management plans, and safety data sheets.
  • Manage and maintain operational databases covering inventory, repairs, subcontractor records, quotations, invoices, and staff leave.
  • Drive purchasing and invoicing activities — from supplier quotations and purchase orders through to goods receipts and client billing.
  • Oversee subcontractor management including onboarding, compliance, and financial processes.
  • Support project financials with cost control, forecasting, and reporting to ensure accountability and transparency.
  • Assist Maintenance Teams with scheduling, certifications, and image review as needed.

  • Qualified in Business Administration, with the ability to foster a positive, inclusive team culture.
  • Experienced leader with a strong background in managing business support and administration within complex technical and operational environments.
  • Organised and adaptable, with a focus on achieving outcomes, improving processes, and building supportive relationships across diverse teams and stakeholders.
  • Skilled in modern ways of working, Microsoft Office and ERP systems such as SAP, with the ability to create clear, practical reporting that supports informed decision-making.
  • Strong communicator with a collaborative, customer-first approach, bringing flexibility to adapt to changing business needs.
