The Queensland Building and Construction Commission (QBCC) is seeking a dynamic and experienced professional to join us as Manager, Regulatory Assurance and Audit. In this pivotal leadership role, you will manage and deliver a program of regulatory audits and quality assurance reviews of QBCC's regulatory decisions, ensuring the implementation and follow-up of recommendations that drive continuous improvement. You will also oversee the internal audit function by managing our external internal audit provider and reporting progress and findings to the Finance, Audit and Risk Committee. A key focus of the role is to lead the implementation of the QBCC's Regulatory Assurance Framework, promoting a lessons-learned culture and embedding risk-based regulatory decision-making across the organisation.
This role also requires strong leadership and stakeholder engagement skills, with a focus on building collaborative relationships, delivering strategic advice, and driving projects that support operational reform and regulatory excellence. As the manager of a high-performing team, you'll foster a culture of inclusion, continuous improvement, and accountability, supporting the growth and development of your team while contributing to QBCC's broader organisational goals and values.
