The Fraud and Scams Strategy and Governance Team is responsible for developing governance frameworks, embedding risk management into strategic planning, and delivering policy architecture under the new Scams Prevention Framework (SPF).
You’ll be at the forefront of designing a new suite of governance practices and establishing policies that articulate the Group’s approach to scam prevention, detection, and disruption for Government in the coming year.
The role
As Manager – Scams Operations Strategy & Governance , you’ll support a team of Senior Managers in developing a range of products to demonstrate SPF compliance. This may involve coordinating multiple working groups, tracking project milestones, and producing governance materials that help drive stakeholder discussions forward.
Sydney applicants preferred but open to other locations.
In this role you will
Support GFMS’s mission and whole-of-ecosystem vision for scams management by organising materials and producing content that meets standards of order, clarity, conciseness, audience, and purpose.
Create and coordinate working group packs and materials that support the development of SPF documentation, working closely with Senior Managers and the Executive Manager.
Use strong PowerPoint and presentation design skills to create high-quality working group packs and presentation materials to support Senior Managers and facilitate key stakeholder discussions.
Work flexibly across multiple initiatives with an agile, project-based mindset—shifting focus quickly and contributing where the need is greatest.
Assist in the development of project plans, including milestones and delivery timelines, in collaboration with internal stakeholders.
Act as a front door and first point of contact for the Governance team, using sound judgement to respond to queries and contributions accurately and in a timely manner.
Review content prepared by other BUs or brands, working with a Senior Manager to edit, standardise, or adjust to ensure a cohesive approach is maintained across the Group.
Contribute to the Group’s scams strategy as it evolves with incoming regulation, critically evaluating the approach to identify potential gaps and overlaps with other regulatory instruments.
Maintain records and files of work and revisions on behalf of the team, ensuring all discoverable materials are collated and easily referenced for a 7–10 year retention period.
