- Greet patients and visitors in a warm and friendly manner, ensuring a positive first impression.
- Manage patient appointments, scheduling, and rescheduling as necessary.
- Answer phone calls, address inquiries, and provide accurate information to patients.
- Assist patients with completing necessary forms and paperwork.
- Maintain medical records accurately and efficiently.
- Manage patient check-in and check-out processes, including handling payments.
- Maintain reception area tidy, support doctors and practice manager with any additional administrative duties.
- Handle general administrative tasks such as filing, scanning, faxing, and data entry.
- Collaborate with other team members to provide exceptional patient care.
Selection Criteria:
- Previous experience as a medical secretary or in a similar role is highly desirable.
- Exceptional interpersonal skills, with the ability to communicate effectively and compassionately with patients, families, and healthcare professionals.
- Excellent organisational and multitasking abilities, with keen attention to detail.
- Proficiency and ability to learn medical terminology, billing procedures
- Experience using Best practice software
- Strong computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
- Medical transcription and typing skills desired
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with integrity.
- A friendly and professional demeanour, with a commitment to providing outstanding patient care.
Job Type: Casual
Pay: $28.00 – $33.00 per hour
