- You would help people including but not limited to with autism, cerebral palsy and mental health conditions.
- As a Disability Support Worker, you will need to be dedicated, values-oriented, and focused on client choice and control. You must also be confident deescalating behaviours of concerns and comfortable following behaviour support plans. Previous experience working with young male clients and/or clients with autism will be highly regarded.
- Work will differ depending on the needs of the person your supporting. This can include helping people with their daily tasks to take care of themselves, teaching new skills, providing emotional support, driving them to appointments and ensuring they are living a fulfilled life.
- Shifts may include weekdays, weekends, public holidays and evenings

Key Responsibilities
- Follow person-centred support plans and behaviour support plans respectfully
- Participate in community activities and encourage participants to perform daily living tasks
- Track and document an individual’s progress through thorough record-keeping
- Build and maintain positive relationships with the participant and their family
Skills & Experience
- An unrestricted New South Wales driver’s licence
- Committed to work flexible work hours across the week, including public holidays
- Demonstrated ability to use basic technology and software on a mobile and desktop
- Will to get a First Aid Certificate
Successful candidates will be required to clear all state-based probity checks; including but not limited to a National Criminal History Record Check and NDIS Worker Screening Check.
