The team
The Enterprise Services Group includes Finance, Procurement, Property & Contracts and Planning & Performance.
The Strategic Reporting team within Planning & Performance is responsible for providing a range of internal and external analytical and reporting services to ASIC's senior executive leadership and the enforcement and regulatory teams.
As custodians of ASIC's performance reporting data, the team plays a critical role in protecting the quality, consistency, and integrity of performance information. The team ensures that reporting standards are upheld, and that data used in decision-making is accurate and reliable
The role
As a Performance Data Quality Officer, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the integrity and consistency of our data. You will develop and maintain guidance materials, such training content, to support consistent record-keeping. Additionally, you will provide feedback and recommendations to business areas on data quality issues, support the resolution of problems, and conduct quality assurance reviews of data in ASIC's case management system (CRM) to identify any inconsistencies and errors.
Your role will also involve facilitating drop-in sessions and workshops to help teams understand data requirements and improve data capture practices. You will collaborate with reporting analysts to ensure CRM data is fit-for-purpose for both internal and external reporting. Engaging with business stakeholders to ensure our systems capture the necessary data for reporting, and escalating issues or enhancement requests as needed, will be key aspects of your responsibilities.
About you
To thrive in this role, you will need a relevant tertiary qualification in business, information management, data analytics, or a related field. Your experience in conducting data quality reviews, providing guidance on record-keeping practices and using Microsoft CRM and tools such as Excel, Power BI, and SQL will be essential. Additionally, your ability to develop and deliver training and support materials to business users will be highly valued.
Strong attention to detail and the ability to identify and resolve data quality issues are crucial. Experience in collaborating with business stakeholders to improve data capture and reporting processes, as well as managing tasks within tight timeframes and being accountable for outcomes, will set you apart as a top candidate for this position.
