Personal Care Worker

Superior Home Health Services are seeking qualified, reliable and passionate Home and Community Personal Care Workers to join our team in the Sunshine Coast Region - Sippy Downs QLD. We are offering casual roles with a view to permanent part-time for suitable candidates.

Responsibilities will include:

• Working within a person-centered, enabling environment that respects the rights and needs of each client;

• Assisting clients with personal hygiene, dressing, and domestic duties;

• Assisting clients with daily errands, companionship, and support;

• Providing support with social and recreational activities;

• Preparing food, feeding clients, and assisting clients with medications;

• Observe, care and report any changes in the health and wellbeing of the client;

• Responding to emergency situations; and

• Working weekend and overnight shifts as rostered

Essential Criteria:

• Minimum Certificate III in Individual Care/Aged Care or equivalent

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills

• Willingness to learn, develop and take on new challenges

• Current National Police Check

• Current First Aid & CPR certificates

• Current unrestricted driver’s licence

• Medication Assistance (desirable)

• A reliable, well-maintained vehicle

• Comprehensive car insurance

• NDIS Worker Screening including Blue Card (or equivalent)
• Community experience, 1 year +

As per the Queensland Government health directive, all Health Care workers must be fully vaccinated by 15 December to work in hospitals, aged care, or disability services. Evidence will be required to secure an interview.

Job Type: Casual

Pay: $40.00 – $45.00 per hour

Expected hours: 10 – 25 per week

Licence/Certification:

• First Aid Certification (Preferred)
• Driver Licence (Preferred)
