As the Principal Investigator, you will plan, coordinate, conduct, manage and review high level complex and sensitive investigations of suspected corrupt conduct, public interest disclosures and staff misconduct within the Department of Health and on occasion, Hospital and Health Services.

What you'll do

Provide high level advice, direction and recommendations to the Director, Ethical Standards Unit, Executive Directors, Senior Directors/Managers, Human Resources Directors/Managers, employees and other stakeholders of the department on appropriate strategies to resolve allegations and complaints about employee conduct and behaviour including suspected corrupt conduct, misconduct and pubic interest disclosures.
Research and prepare correspondence, briefing papers, investigation reports and recommendations on complex and sensitive investigations and associated issues.
Monitor and review the progress of devolved suspected corrupt conduct investigations.

About you

We are searching for someone with:
Demonstrated expertise in managing and conducting complex investigations of suspected corrupt conduct, with the ability to operate effectively in a sensitive and complex work
Demonstrated expertise in the interpretation, application and provision of advice on the application of legislation, regulation, policies and procedures as they relate to the management of complex investigations of suspected corrupt conduct including public interest disclosures.
Excellent interpersonal, liaison and communication skills, including the capacity and ability to work within a team, and negotiate or communicate with influence on behalf of the agency with senior internal and external stakeholders.
Excellent written communication skills, including ability to prepare documents, investigation reports and briefing notes for the Minister or senior officers on complex and sensitive issues.
