SASMAR is searching for a motivated Product Development Manager to join our dynamic team. Based in Malta, SASMAR is a notable player in the pharmaceutical industry, specializing in personal care and fertility products, including the widely recognized Conceive Plus brand. Our innovative products are available in over 70 countries through various distribution channels, including pharmacies, clinics, and supermarkets.
In this key position, the Product Development Manager will oversee the full cycle of product development, guiding initiatives from initial concept through to market launch. You will coordinate closely with Regulatory, Marketing, and Operations teams to ensure our product line not only meets but exceeds the expectations of our consumers.
Primary Responsibilities
- Manage the complete product development process from ideation through commercialization.
- Conduct market research to identify consumer needs and competitive insights.
- Develop and maintain product timelines, budgets, and project plans for successful product launches.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including R&D, Marketing, and Operations, to bring innovative product concepts to life.
- Draft and manage product specifications, ensuring alignment with formulation, packaging, and labeling standards.
- Supervise product testing operations, including stability, performance, and consumer trials.
- Ensure all products comply with regulatory requirements and industry standards.
- Analyze existing product performance and propose recommendations for improvements or enhancements.
- Keep abreast of industry trends to identify potential opportunities for product development and expansion.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Pharmaceutical Sciences, Chemistry, Business, or a related field.
- Prior experience in product development, preferably within the pharmaceutical or personal care industries.
- Strong organizational skills and proven project management experience.
- Familiarity with regulatory standards and best practices in product development.
- Experience in market research and consumer analysis.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
