Project Manager
This role is responsible for successfully managing the delivery of projects to plan. You will lead collaboration across multi-disciplinary teams to manage and resolve issues and risks to project delivery. Be accountable for ensuring consistency, accuracy and efficiency in project delivery, cost and risk management across all assigned projects, effectiveness and capability uplift across Customer and Enterprise Initiatives.
What you will be doing:
- Manage the successful delivery of complex projects from initiation through to close out and handover
- Contributing and supporting Enterprise Initiatives including Developer Transformation
- Undertake project planning, determining project critical path and milestones; create realistic and achievable estimates and breakdown projects into manageable work packages.
- Actively drive collaboration across multi-disciplinary teams in Sydney Water to ensure consistency, accuracy and efficiency in project delivery, cost and risk management across allocated projects
- Ensure project risks are effectively identified, mitigated and managed, including the proactive management of the early warning process, both in receiving notification or issuing notification as the situation requires, to effectively manage any matters that could impact the delivery of the project in scope, on-time and within budget.
- Conducting and developing statistical modelling and analysis including preparation of graphical and visualisation outputs, so the model outputs are accurate for use in infrastructure portfolio planning, maintenance & operational decision making.
- Ensure project schedules are developed, updated, monitored and managed in line with the business case expectations, for all phases of the project, and that project schedule milestones are defined, measured, managed and met.
About you:
- Tertiary qualification in relevant discipline (engineering, science, business, management) or experience deemed equivalent
- Fluent in business process notation
- Project delivery within the government/utilities sectors including customer experience, process improvement and digital projects
- Demonstrated experience with Project Management, Scoping Management, Cost Management, Risk Management & Stakeholder Management
- Previous experience in Sydney Water customer, developer, internal and external stakeholder related processes.
