- Provide regular financial reports of Projects to Directors, Project Leaders and the Senior Finance Officer. Provide timely advice to Unit staff on financial and administrative matters.
- Prepare, monitor and analyse the approved budget versus actual expenditure on a regular basis, providing advice including budget variance analysis to the Senior Finance Officer and both Directors and Project Leaders.
- Assist in the development and maintenance of the financial and project management aspects of contracts. This includes the preparation and monitoring of milestone invoices, collaborator payments and all other revenues and expenses associated with these agreements.
- Undertake procurement activities
- Provide effective financial and project management support services to Unit staff ensuring that all activities are within Departmental guidelines.
- Maintain and optimise workflow, through effective use of workplace systems and processes and collaboration with colleagues.
This role requires a 'C' class licence - travel will be required from time to time to visit various sites to catch up with project leaders
