About the Opportunity
The Project Support Officer position is part of the Major Projects & Planning team and works closely with Development Managers, Project Managers, Engineers, Planning, Design and Construction (PD&C), and Campus Facilities.
Under general direction, this position is responsible for providing administrative assistance and support to an element’s day to day operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive administrative support to the Major Projects & Planning team, including calendar management, meeting coordination, minute taking, correspondence handling, records management, and process improvement.
- Manage procurement and financial transactions using the University’s finance systems, including processing purchase orders, invoices, and payment requests.
- Assist in developing and maintaining financial tools for project budgeting and expenditure tracking, including forecasting and reporting.
- Support contract administration by maintaining accurate project records and documentation in collaboration with the Senior Development Manager.
- Contribute to procurement activities by assisting with the setup and monitoring of tenders via the Vendor Panel system.
- Assist with day to day project activities such as data entry, document preparation, report formatting, and presentation creation.
- Maintain and update online content, including SharePoint and web pages, while identifying opportunities for efficiency improvements.
- Provide guidance on standard policies and procedures, and contribute to the development of new practices to support effective project delivery.
- Liaise with internal departments and external stakeholders to ensure smooth communication and collaboration.
About you
- The occupant of this position will hold a minimum of an associate diploma qualification and at least two years relevant work experience, or an equivalent combination of relevant skills, knowledge and experience.
Candidates must have full unrestricted Australian work rights and may be subject to a National criminal history check.
What we can offer
This is full time, two year fixed term opportunity based at Brisbane South (Nathan). As Griffith is a multi-site University you may be required to work across other locations.
HEW 5 Salary – Base range - $79,705.10 - $89,416.39 + 17% super. Full package range - $93,255.63 - $104,617.18.
