We’re looking for a passionate and skilled QA Coordinator to become a valued member of our team based at Out Street, Tamworth, NSW.
Responsibilities:
- Maintaining, reviewing, verification and continuous improvement of QMS, HACCP systems. Ensure compliance with all the relevant legislation, policies, guidelines and codes of practice relating to sites Quality Management Systems, HACCP and GMP.
- Assisting the site Quality Assurance Manager and Supervisor in the support and delivery of operational excellence by coordinating and implementing quality assurance activities and initiatives; as well as driving quality and a positive food safety culture through compliance and guidance within the Processing Plant
- Working effectively and ensuring clear communication with all site departments to achieve outcomes
- Leadership within the QA team; problem solving; decision making
- Facilitating and supporting internal and external audits
- Customer complaint management
- Monitoring, reviewing and working to achieve site KPI’s
- Driving continuous improvement, managing risk and striving for best practice
- Staff training as required
Required Skill and Experience:
- With extensive experience in quality assurance within poultry industry
- Detailed knowledge of all products and processes within scope; and general knowledge of products and processes affecting or are affected by processing
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
- Ability to make quick and correct decisions “on the job”
- Good problem-solving skills with the ability to arrive at and implement long term preventive actions
- Excellent time management skills
- Ability to achieve departmental targets (meet Baiada guidelines)
- Able to work a flexible roster, including weekends
- Possesses leadership qualities
