The Research Manager supports a range of business stakeholders by providing insights for decision making derived from primary and secondary research sources. The role is focused on helping to achieve Rest’s strategic objectives by design of research and delivery of insights to better understand the attitudes, behaviours and needs of members (and prospective members) and the superannuation category.
Key Accountabilities/Responsibilities
- Partner with business stakeholders to provide thought leadership and tactical support via qualitative and quantitative research projects across brand, campaign, customer experience, communications, channel, UX and product.
- Project manage external research partners for ad hoc and tracking studies to drive insights.
- Design and deliver member research and insights using in-house platforms.
- Interpret, integrate and present insights for strategic and tactical decision making.
- Operate as an embedded research and insights expert within an agile delivery team.
- Contribute to research community of practice at Rest to lift capability and effectiveness of insights function
Qualifications
- Tertiary qualifications in marketing, market research, social sciences, business or similar discipline.
Required experience, understanding or credentials including:
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in a research and insights role, either agency or client-side.
- Experience in financial services or other highly regulated industries preferred.
- Experience of agile team operating model.
- Exceptional project management, interpersonal and stakeholder engagement skills.
- Strong experience of end-to-end research process, including stakeholder engagement, research design, sampling, project management, analysis and reporting. This is a hands-on research role and expertise in research design and analysis is essential.
- Q research software
- Experience managing vendor partners and key relationships with external agencies.
- Excellent communication and storytelling skills, sharing clear simple insights to drive action.
- Experience with survey, UX and other research platforms.
