An excellent opportunity is available for a Research Officer to join the Visvader/Lindeman Laboratory within the Cancer Biology and Stem Cells Division at Australia's pre-eminent biomedical research institute.
About the position
The Visvader/Lindeman Laboratory focuses on the role of stem cell biology in breast development and cancer. The laboratory has a long-standing interest in the breast epithelial differentiation hierarchy, identifying regulators of normal development, and deciphering cellular and molecular mechanisms that lead to breast cancer.
The Research Officer will contribute to the research effort and further develop their research expertise on understanding the molecular mechanisms that underpin cancer initiation and progression. The position will involve breast cancer biology, developing models of tumour development, and the use of multimodal molecular technologies. The successful candidate is expected to be self-motivated and to operate with minimal supervision under the general direction of the Laboratory Head.

- A relevant doctoral qualification
- An excellent academic record and achievements
- Demonstrated ability and potential for excellence and productivity in research
- Research experience that has resulted in publications, conference papers or reports
- Proven interpersonal and collaborative skills in achieving research outcomes
Terms of appointment
This position is available for up to 2 years in a full-time capacity. Salary is RE A6 - RE A8 ($104,070 - $111,707). Up to 17% superannuation and very attractive salary packaging options are available.
